SPENCER AFTER FIVE KIWANIS
Spencer After Five Kiwanis is a local group of like-minded volunteers who strive to make a difference for local youth and families. Our club focuses specifically on kids and we have been successful in providing college scholarships and community programs that are specific to kids. We are a part of a global network of clubs and members who partner with each other and with organizations whose missions align with ours – to serve kids who need us most.
KIWANIS CAUSES
Together, these causes form a continuum of impact — helping young people develop throughout childhood and into adulthood.
Each cause also supports the others, ultimately creating a generation of leaders who also contribute to that continuum.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Kiwanis makes a powerful impact in communities around the world by focusing on improving the lives of children and families through hands-on service and local initiatives. From building playgrounds and supporting schools to organizing food drives and literacy programs, Kiwanis clubs work tirelessly to address the unique needs of their communities. Their dedication fosters a spirit of volunteerism and brings people together to create lasting, positive change. Through partnerships, fundraising efforts, and countless volunteer hours, Kiwanis continues to be a driving force for community improvement and youth empowerment.
YOUTH RECOGNITION
Kiwanis is deeply committed to recognizing and encouraging the achievements of young people in its communities. Through programs like Key Club, Builders Club, and Terrific Kids, Kiwanis honors youth who demonstrate leadership, character, and a commitment to service. Many clubs host award ceremonies, scholarships, and special events to celebrate student accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. By shining a spotlight on these young leaders, Kiwanis not only acknowledges their efforts but also inspires them to continue making a positive impact in their schools and neighborhoods.
AFTER FIVE EVENTS
We meet the FIRST and THIRD Tuesday’s of each month with meetings starting at 5:30pm and lasting about an hour.
Currently, we are meeting in the upstairs dining room at Godfather’s Pizza located on Grand Avenue in Spencer, Iowa.
